ree

Hi All

After another great (and very well-received) outing to Ilkley Stroke Group last week, Thursday night uke-ing is same time and place tomorrow, and I am looking forward to seeing you all again.

Official start-time for the main session is 7:15 but please feel free to arrive early (any time from 6:30) for social chat and beginners' help.

Thank you to our Volunteers for tomorrow ... Shona(Catering) and David Stow (Projector)

A quick reminder of what is in progress, and also news of booking enquiries ...

Drama at the Town Hall !

14 people booked via me to go to this event on Wednesday 25th October. The Town Hall issued 1 electronic ticket to cover all the seats, so I will make 14 copies of this and pass them on to you all. (Hopefully will have time to do this by Thursday, otherwise will be next week)

Done! ...

PLAYLISTS FOR WOODLANDS COURT AND THRESHFIELD COURT WILL BE BASED ON THE PLAYLIST WE USED AT ILKLEY LAST FRIDAY.

Other things going on

From October, I will be taking a break for the first Thursday of each month. This will give me some much-needed time off and will also give the members the opportunity to run evenings without me controlling it all, and to generate new ideas for how the Club can move forward.

Playlist for Thursday

We can take a week off gig rehearsals this week, and do songs for fun.

Final note re unauthorised publicity by "Skipton Steps Into Action"

Thank you to those who have pointed out that "Skipton Steps Into Action." have advertised that we are doing a "gig" for them at their "Well-Being Cafe" in Skipton “Skipton Steps Into Action” (SSIA) and its sub-group Wellbeing Cafe have got a bit carried away here. They are a potential charity beneficiary and we are building a relationship with them. So I agreed (personally) to go there and do a song for them tomorrow night. This will also include our Rick who is one of the people who is involved at Wellbeing Cafe. Vicki might also attend as our charity liaison person. To clarify … The offer made by Rick and myself was a personal one and did not involve any commitment from the Club. Wellbeing cafe is part of the larger organisation "Skipton Steps Into Action", With whom we made contact at Skipton Pride . We may be proposing them to the Club soon as charity partners but at the moment we are just finding out more about them and building a relationship. Hopefully that explains the situation. I need to have words with SSIA about their unauthorised (and incorrect) publicity but in view of the excellent work they do for some very distressed people, the words will be gentle. end of message

Song sheets are here!
