Gig-antic Club Night 28th January

After a really good AGM we are ready to get back to having fun and progressing with our plans.

Part of that involves coming up with a gig book for the coming year. So with that in mind I would ask members to suggest tunes to include for our gigs this year.
The idea is to have a range of tunes. Some old classics, some newer tunes as well as some that may be more unusual.
In general they should come from our existing library, but I think that we could also include a couple of new tunes that we could work on through the year, so while we may not play them at an early gig or two, we may be able to add a new song later in the year.
These are just my thoughts, and I am happy to bow to the consensus, but this could be an opportunity to freshen things up too.
So we need your choices for songs that we should or could play. The club therefore wants your suggestions and that can form part of what we are looking at this week. It will be something of a fun strum or lucky dip for now. I will have slips of paper so that we can run the night a bit like the Xmas party or Sussies. So write your song choice on there and we will fish them out and go for it.
We could allow some from Jim's book too. If we are to do that this week then also please think about how the club could play them too. Some songs are really catchy, but can also have really challenging timings or lyrics and we want them to be inclusive, so not too difficult to pick up as a group.
Looking forward to seeing you all this week.
Gordon
