Club Night - 19th February 2026

I hope you all had fun last week. It is good to be back and I am looking forward to seeing

you all again.

We have a mix of songs this week. They are all well known so we should be pretty comfortable with them. A few are for a gig that is coming up, so we will take a little bit of time to ensure we can deliver them well on the day. I have also added a few that relate somehow to last weekend as well. Some that we haven't done in quite a while, but I hope will be a lot of fun.

This Week's Song List:

  • Bye Bye Love

  • Dream Lover

  • Chasing Cars

  • Sunny Afternoon

  • Things

  • Wild Rover

  • Singing The Blues

  • Catch a Falling Star

  • Dedicated Follower of Fashion

  • Ruby Tuesday

  • San Francisco Bay Blues

  • Half a World Away

  • Ain't She Sweet

  • The Ballad of Barry and Freda

  • Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

  • I Can't Help Falling In Love

  • Crazy

  • Fields of Gold

  • Moondance

I think that is more than enough, but if we run out then I will gladly accept suggestions from the floor.

Gig Information:

We have agreed to a number of gigs already, with a 4th one as a maybe.

Friday, 27th February, 2:15 - 3:00

Abbeyfield Woodlands Care Home, Skipton

Friday, 20th March (2:00 - 2:45)

Threshfield Court Care Home, Skipton

Saturday, 16th May (2:30 - 3:15)

The Mill House Care Home, Skipton

To Be Decided and/or Confirmed

McCarthy Stone, retirement home on Mallory Ct, Brewery Lane,

Skipton

The confirmed dates should have sign up sheets for those that are interested.

We will be doing our best with building up our gig book. I think the gig team will be able to tell us what they have for us. Hopefully that will mean that those who take part in the gigs can practice those songs on their own and leave us with less to do on a club night. There will still be some practice, but we are trying to keep it down a little from last year.

It is going to be good to be back and I look forward to seeing you this week.

Gordon
