Welcome Back!

ree

Welcome Back everyone and I hope you all had a pleasant break. No matter what you did.

I was sent a playlist of songs where the theme was places and that will be for next week. This week we have a playlist from Liz as it is her birthday week.

Liz's Playlist

  • Valerie

  • I Won't Back Down

  • Head Over Feet

  • Landslide (in Cm)

  • With or Without You

We will also be treated to a couple of floor spots that she would like to try out.

However we also have a gig coming up on the 19th September. We have a long list for that one. It will get shortened once we start playing them and make decisions on what works best.

Steeton Court Playlist (TBC)

  • Black Hills of Dakota

  • All I Have To Do Is Dream

  • Happy Together

  • I'm a Believer

  • Jamaica Farewell

  • I Saw Her Standing There

  • Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

  • I'm the Urban Spaceman

  • Jolene

  • Things

  • Friday I'm In Love

  • Mustang Sally

  • Octopus' Garden

  • Spider Man

  • Then I Kissed Her

  • What a Wonderful World This Would Be

  • In the Summertime

So we will start with a Liz's playlist and then dive into the gig list.

Some of the playlist suggestions were in the Places list I was sent, I am sure you can guess which ones!

Membership

I hope you all saw and read the email about membership. I will not repeat it all here. We will have, I hope, a short discussion about it on Thursday.

This will hopefully keep our mailing list from getting too large and prevent people getting emails and messages that are no longer relevant to them.

Phil Doleman

Firnally, we've had confirmation from Phil Doleman that he is very much looking forward to visiting us on 9th October. The workshop is themed on intros and outros starting at 7.15 for about an hour.

After a tea break Phil will then give us a performance and Q&A.

It will be an excellent evening! Make sure your calendars physical or virtual are marked.

I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday

Gordon
