Club Night 5th October

Hi all, Sorry I won't be with you this week, but I hope you have a great time on Thursday !

Just a few admin items.

[1] Thank you to everyone who has signed up for Threshfield on Wednesday - Playlist and logistics have been sent out to all concerned.

[2] We have a booking enquiry for the evening of Wednesday 6th December. (exact time to be confirmed) - It is for Dalesway WI, and the location will be at the 3 Links Club (our Club home up to 2019). The enquiry actually came in nearly a year ago, but obviously that was way too early for us to be asking people to commit to attending. I am attaching a sign-up sheet for it, and would be very grateful if that could be printed by somebody and put out on the Admin Table.

[3] We are playing for Craven Open Door on Tuesday 10th October (5pm at side room of Christchurch) - We have just 6 people signed up for this which should be enough to get by, but a couple more would be great. This is usually a riotous fun event for a very lively audience.

Sign-up sheet should be on the Admin Table .

[4] We have an enquiry outstanding for 22nd October (a Sunday afternoon). This came from "Incredible Edible" via Richard. It is for "Apple Day", (The fruit, not the device), and the location is Skipton Middletown Rec. There is a current sign-up sheet, which should be on the Admin Table . Only 3 definites so far - We need to decide whether we are up for it, so that Richard can get back to them.

Richard has got some info from them, as follows ...

"The event runs from 12-3.00pm on Sunday 22 October and is entirely outdoors on the Middletown rec. This is the first time we have run Apple Day and we expect it to be a small event with local families attending. Other activities will include apple pressing, crafts, games, storytelling, cakes - all apple related. If possible, we would like you to play 2 sets, but one is fine too. If you agree to go ahead then please let us know what times you would like to play so we can finalise and promote the programme. We can add your logo/picture if you have one. This will be promoted on our social media. We can provide a gazebo and 3 chairs. There is no power, and no vehicle access. Parking will be on nearby streets - Upper Sackville Street, or Pinhaw Road near Greatwood school. There are no toilets (just the emergency camping toilet at the IE allotment shed). It's ok for you to take photos, but please check with guardians first if they include identifiable children. We would be happy to make a £50 donation to you."

I think it would be a great event to attend and to play at, but some people might be put off by the lack of toilet facilities

It's up to you ........

[5] Bookings in general ?

I am feeling that there may be some " bookings fatigue" at the moment, as it has sometimes been less easy than usual to get sign-up sheets filled up. December is always a busy month for us, so I plan to have a quiet November bookings-wise, so that we can hopefully build up a bit more performance energy for the upcoming festive season. All opinions and feedback welcome on this.

Have a great time on Thursday!

Eric
