Club Night - 3rd September 2026

Sometimes the week goes by quickly and then sometimes it just blitzes by and it is nearly Thursday and I haven't sent the email out yet!

When it gets like that it is good to know that there is a time to sit back and just enjoy the scenery for a bit. To allow for a small oasis of calm amidst the storm.

So what is my plan for this week? Well! Errr.... Um... I am going to leave it somewhat loose this week. Richard has been working on a couple of songs that we have done recently so we will take a look at them. We can also have a bit of a run through of any songs for the gig that is coming up. They are all familiar to us now, so it is just a starting and endings polish that they may require. The good thing about them is that they are normally not too tricky either. I thought we would also look at some of the songs that have had the most recent updates. We often re-draft or polish a song sheet, but then don't touch it for a while so I will pick some of them.

Saturday 3rd October - Morrisons

Morrisons entrance. Again, this is at Morrisons but in aid of our chosen charity, Yorkshire Air Ambulance. We are suggesting two slots, between the times of 11 and 1. There is the cafe we can go to for a coffee break! 

Thursday 8th October @7-9pm (TBC)

We have also been asked to take part in an event at this time. The gig team are still gathering information. I just wanted to mark it down.

Saturday 31st October (TBC)

Gargrave Beer Festival. I am sure we would like to do this one (hic!). Still TBC though.

Wednesday 9th December Threshfield WI

Still awaiting final details, but it is an evening performance.

Sunday 13th December - Holy Trinity Church

This will be a daytime gig. More details to come.

The Xmas song list is out now. Hopefully people have picked up a copy. I know that some people may only want to play xmas songs only in December but that is just not what needs to happen. We want to entertain as much as possible. The best way to avoid practice time at the club, is to practice at home so that we only need to play a song once or twice and we are ready. We will need to practice them in November. Possibly even October if there is a particular song we want to include, but do not have gig ready.
